‘Four steps to an unforgettable holiday’
Family House Swapping is the platform for young families to achieve home swaps. Holidays and weekends away have never been so comfortable. The original website was mainly focused on displaying the houses that participate in it; there was not much more functionality. The desire was therefore to automate much more in the new platform and give it more of a community feel (with accompanying functionalities).

The approach
The basics of a well-known community plugin, with a touch of customisation
From the client's perspective, a well-known community plugin and its functionalities had already been looked at prior to the process. We also looked into the possibilities of this and, after consultation, decided to go ahead with it. It would be a shame if we had to reinvent the wheel. Because the idea was not to go completely in the direction of a social media platform, we still had to rewrite some of the functionalities with customisation to give them the desired effect.
The result
A community platform where young families can have fun initiating a swap
The result is a full-fledged platform for young families where they can make their homes available. Apart from a profile with details about the property and family composition, the platform includes some functionalities such as: a call board, adding friends, sending private messages, posting reviews of properties, bookmarking properties that interest you and much more.
